Nigeria's national football team, the Super Eagles, experienced a slight dip in the latest FIFA men's ranking, as reported by Naijacrawl on Thursday morning.
The three-time African champions have moved down two places from 28th to 30th position in the rankings.
In the past month, the Super Eagles participated in two friendly matches. They secured a victory against long-standing rivals Ghana with a score of 2-1 but faced a defeat against Mali's Eagles with a 2-0 scoreline.
Despite the slight drop in ranking, the Super Eagles maintained their position as the third-ranked team in Africa, following Morocco's Atlas Lions and Senegal's Teranga Lions.
Egypt's Pharaohs and Cote d'Ivoire's Elephants rounded up the top five teams on the continent.
Meanwhile, Argentina, the reigning world champions, retained their top position in the FIFA rankings.
