Brentford boss Thomas Frank has described Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side as the number one team in the Premier League.

He also feels the Gunners are genuine title contenders following Brentford’s 3-0 defeat on Sunday.

At the Brentford Community Stadium, William Saliba, Gabriel Jesus, and Fabio Vieira scored one each to secure all three points for the Arsenal side.

Arsenal kept their place at the top of the table with the victory after the opening seven games of the season.

“We lost 3-0 to the number one [team] in the Premier League,” Frank told Sky Sports.

I said before that they are on the top side... They didn’t create that many chances but had quality moments.

They are top of the table, so you cannot argue with that. They have done brilliantly. "Looking at the quality, they must be title contenders.”
