Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has stated that he is unable to confirm whether defender Andreas Christensen will leave the club at the conclusion of the season to join Barcelona.

This was stated by Tuchel during his pre-match news conference prior to Chelsea's Premier League encounter against Brentford on Saturday.

According to reports, Christensen had planned to join Barcelona at the end of the season.

Christensen's current Chelsea contract expires at the conclusion of the season, and he has yet to sign a new contract with the Champions League holders.

"We heard the same things," Tuchel stated when asked about Andrea Christensen's joining Barcelona. Because I haven't spoken to Andreas about it yet, I don't have any confirmation for you. However, we have heard the same rumour.
