After turning down multiple offers from Newcastle United for the England youth international, Chelsea is preventing midfielder Lewis Hall from leaving Mauricio Pochettino's team during the summer transfer window.
Last year, Chelsea was the team for which Hall made his Premier League debut.
Early in his career, the 18-year-old has already demonstrated his versatility by demonstrating his ability to play both fullback and midfield, which will appeal to Eddie Howe, the head coach of Newcastle.
Even though he signed a new contract with Chelsea that will expire in 2030 and was given a path to the first team, a departure seems more and more likely.
The Athletic claims that Chelsea has rejected several bids from Newcastle for Hall during the summer transfer window, but that the Magpies still have one on the table. Chelsea reportedly wants at least £30 million for the player.
The report added that Hall, who grew up as a Newcastle fan, is keen to play for Howe, with the prospect of playing regularly and in the UEFA Champions League.
