William Troost-Ekong, the vice captain of the Super Eagles, has finished his loan to Salernitana of Serie A.
At the conclusion of the current campaign, Salernitana is required to purchase the center-back.
The defender born in 1993, William Troost-Ekong, will be temporarily transferred to Watford FC, with the option to purchase him, US Salernitana 1919 communicated through a statement on their official website on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old transferred from Watford, a Sky Bet Championship team, to the Garnets.
The Nigerian, who had previously played for Udinese, is back in the Italian top division.
Prior to completing a transfer to Watford in 2020, Troost-Ekong played for Udinese for two seasons.
This season, he has appeared in 17 league games for Watford, scoring once.
