It appears that Thomas Tuchel, the current manager of Bayern Munich, is leaning towards a return to Chelsea rather than accepting the managerial role at Manchester United this summer, as suggested by former Liverpool defender Glen Johnson.
Reports indicate that Tuchel will depart Bayern Munich at the conclusion of the season, sparking speculation about his next destination. Despite previous links to Manchester United, it seems Tuchel is more inclined towards a potential reunion with Chelsea.
Johnson shared his insights on Tuchel's future during a conversation with Betfred, shedding light on the manager's likely preferences amid ongoing uncertainties surrounding Erik ten Hag's tenure at Old Trafford.
Discussing Tuchel’s future with Betfred, Johnson said:
“It’s tough to talk about a manager coming into a job that I would like Mauricio Pochettino to stay in,” Johnson told Betfred when asked about Tuchel’s future.
“However, if we are talking from Thomas Tuchel’s perspective, then he’d definitely pick the Chelsea job over the Manchester United one.
“Chelsea’s another club that are competing, but they are not and they are miles away from it at the moment.
“With the players they’ve got, they should be doing more and if Tuchel had the option, I believe he would pick Chelsea over Manchester United.”
