If Tanzania loses in the opening leg of their U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match on Saturday in Dar es Salaam, the Olympic Eagles will receive a payment of $20,000.
On the eve of the team's departure for Dar es Salaam, Aminu Balele Kurfi, Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) task force on youth competitions, made the announcement.
The players and their officials departed for the East African country on Thursday night via a Kenyan Airways flight.
The game is slated for the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
The reverse fixture will be held at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, on October 29.
The winner over two legs will proceed to the final round of the qualifiers.
The 2023 AFCON will serve as the qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games to be hosted in Paris, France.
