Dean Henderson has confirmed he would be out for the remainder of the season, following a successful surgery.
The Manchester United keeper, on loan at Nottingham Forest, disclosed this in a post via his verified Instagram page, saying his surgery, related to a thigh injury, was a success.
The injury has kept him out since January, though, with him making only 20 appearances in total for the 2022/23 premiership season.
In his absence, Forest had signed veteran Keylor Navas, also on loan, from Paris Saint-Germain.
However, Henderson is confident of returning to fitness in time for pre-season, when his loan to Forest expires.
He wrote: “Had surgery today on an ongoing issue. I’m disappointed to miss the rest of the season but surgery went well and I will be back for pre-season.
“I will be supporting the boys for the remainder of the season!”
