It was an enthralling match yesterday in the ongoing US Open when Kei Nishikori beats  Marin Cilic 2-6 6-4 7-6 (7-5) 4-6 6-4 at one of the quarterfinals of the tournament, a match that lasted for 4hours and 8 minutes, which now saw the Japan to have a total of 18 win and 6 lost in his career.



It will be recalled that Djokovic has won 6-3 6-4 6-4 against John Millman, who had previously eliminated the ace player Roger Federer.

Yesterday match served as a case of comfortable revenge for Nishikori as he outlasted Cilic, four years after losing to the Croatian player in the final of the US Open.

With Nishikori and Djovovic win, both players will now compete at the semifinal for the final slot tomorrow Friday during their semifinal encounter.
