Raphael Varane, a defender for Manchester United, praised colleague Cristiano Ronaldo in a message, calling him a legend and a terrific competitor.

Varane expressed his pleasure at sharing a team with Ronaldo and stated that the Manchester United players have never questioned his contribution to the group.

The World Cup champion of France stated that any doubts about the fugitive forward originated outside the group.

Varane told BBC Sport that the dispute took place outside of the locker room since Ronaldo was not included in the Man United tour roster.

“We know his quality. And we know he’s very famous. So we know a lot of people will speak about the performance of the team and his performance."
