Former Tottenham winger Jermaine Jenas has observed that Gabriel Magalhaes has been "exposed" by William Saliba's performance in the center of Arsenal's defense this year.
Saliba made an immediate impact on Mikel Arteta's team after returning from his loan stint with Marseille and has shone like a million stars since.
The 21-year-old France international has forged a solid partnership alongside Gabriel in Arsenal’s defence.
And Jenas feels the Frenchman’s showings this season have upstaged his Brazilian defence partner, Gabriel, who gave away the penalty in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Tottenham on Saturday.
“I just feel like Saliba has elevated the level that it’s just exposed Gabriel a little bit,” Jenas told Vibe with Five.
“He’s [Gabriel] still very good. He’s still a very good centre-half.
“But all of a sudden, you’re looking at Saliba and you’re saying, ‘we need another one of you.'
