Former Italy international Antonio Cassano has slammed AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho, claiming that the former Chelsea boss has never been a great coach.
Cassano said the performance of Mourinho’s Roma team made him want to vomit, adding that the former Real Madrid and Manchester United manager doesn’t know how to set out a team.
“Mourinho has never been a great coach; he just knew how to play the media and was a great communicator,” Cassano told Christian Vieri’s BoboTV podcast.
“He’s good at dealing with strong players, not ones who are not very good." "It is too easy to just be friendly with great players.”
He added, “It’s just a disaster upon a disaster at Roma; he got them to spend money on Nemanja Matic and Rui Patricio; those were his decisions." The other day, that performance made me want to vomit.
“He does not know how to set out a team." "Even with your second-string squad, you need to beat Cremonese.”
Mourinho’s Roma is currently in third place on the Serie A table with 40 points from 21 games.
