Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, better known as Ayra Starr, has been included in this year’s 21 Under 21 ranking by American music magazine Billboard.

The 20-year-old was the only African artist on the 2023 list released on Monday via the Billboard website.

She made the chart by garnering 138.2 million on-demand streams in the US.

Youngsters such as Olivia Rodrigo, The Kid Laroi, D4vd, and Gayle all made the list.

Naijacrawl reported that Ayra Starr revealed in a recent interview that she had prayed she would make Obama’s playlist someday before her song ‘Rush’ appeared on the former US President’s 2022 end-of-year music playlist.
