No fewer than seven officers have been dismissed by the Imo State Police Command for extortion.

Spokesperson of the command, CSP Michael Abattam, who disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, December 22, 2022, said the culprits have been charged to court.

According to the PPRO, the dismissed policemen were arrested last month in a bank in Umuahia, Abia State, for conspiracy to extort money from an innocent victim.
