The Emir of Ningi in Bauchi State, Dr.
Yunusa Danyaya, has passed away at the age of 88. The revered monarch, who had recently returned from a medical trip to Saudi Arabia, died in the early hours of today at a hospital in Kano State.
His passing was confirmed in a statement by Mukhtar Gidado, media aide to Governor Bala Mohammed. The governor extended his heartfelt condolences to the late emir’s family and the Emirate Council, describing the loss as a profound one for the people of Ningi Emirate and Nigeria as a whole.
"It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that the Bauchi State Government announces the passing of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ningi, Alhaji (Dr.) Yunusa Muhammadu Danyaya, OON," the statement read. The governor praised the late emir as a man of peace, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to the welfare of his people.
