In a significant development, the police have made a startling discovery of 350 AK-47 ammunition in a poultry farm along Sabon-Wuse-Garam road in Tafa Local Government Area (LGA) of Niger State.

The road in question leads to Bwari town in the Federal Capital Territory, as reported by City & Crime.

During the operation, four suspects were apprehended, including the farm manager, two other staff members, and a visitor, according to information shared by a vigilant individual interviewed by our reporter.

The circumstances surrounding the presence of the ammunition remain unclear, with questions arising about whether they are connected to the prevalent banditry in the area or if they were intended for transportation to another location.

Upon reaching out for confirmation, the police spokesman in the state, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, acknowledged the inquiry and assured that he would provide an update on the unfolding situation. As the investigation progresses, more details are awaited to shed light on the nature and purpose of the discovered AK-47 ammunition and the implications for the security landscape in Niger State.
