Senator Ireti Kingibe, representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at the National Assembly, has strongly criticized the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, for what she describes as his 'I don't care attitude' towards the residents of the nation's capital.

Speaking at an event in Abuja organized by activist Moses Paul to mark the first anniversary of the 2023 presidential election, Senator Ireti expressed her concern about the minister's apparent disregard for the well-being of the people in the FCT.

She voiced her worries, stating, "We, as a nation right now, we are in trouble. Yes, you've elected me as the senator of the FCT, which is the highest elected office in the FCT, but I have to work with a minister who doesn't seem to realize that there are people living in the FCT."

Despite the concerning attitude of the minister, Senator Ireti, representing the Obidients, assured that they would find a way to address the challenges. She emphasized the urgency of planning and organizing to tackle critical issues facing the nation, especially the escalating insecurity.

"Insecurity is what is about to consume us. You can't go to the farm. You can't do anything. We have to take charge," she asserted.

As the nation grapples with pressing issues, including insecurity, Senator Ireti Kingibe's remarks underscore the need for concerted efforts and effective leadership to address the challenges facing the Federal Capital Territory and the country as a whole.
