A 57-year-old man, Alhaji Mohammed Samaila, has been killed by suspected armed robbers in Gaina village, Misau Local Government Area of Bauchi State.



According to an eyewitness, the attackers stormed the victim’s home, robbed the family of an undisclosed sum of money, and shot him before fleeing the scene.

The Spokesman of the Command, Ahmed Wakili, while confirming the incident disclosed that the police received a distress call regarding the robbery and murder on December 14, 2024, at approximately 3:10 a.m.

He said the Command was alerted by one Alhaji Samaila Gaina, a 75-year-old resident of Gaina Village, about the fatal shooting which occurred in his presence.

Four unidentified armed men were said to have broken into Samaila’s house about 2:50 am, tragically killing him.

“The assailants escaped with an undisclosed amount of money. The victim was rushed to the Federal Medical Center in Misau but was pronounced dead on arrival.” Wakil stated.
Responding, a team of homicide detectives was immediately deployed to the scene to commence a thorough investigation.
Wakili added, “Our investigators are working diligently to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of this heinous crime, ensuring justice for the victim and his family.”
