The U-17 Women's World Cup in India in 2022 will feature a third-place match between Germany and Nigeria's Flamingos.

On Wednesday, the competition's semi-final matches between the Flamingos and the Germans ended in defeat.

The Nigerian girls lost 6-5 on penalties to Colombia after their keenly contested game ended in a 0-0 draw in regulation time.dR

Bankole Olowookere’s girls were one kick away from victory in the game.

Germany, on the other hand, lost 1-0 to Spain.

The Germans conceded a late goal against their fellow Europeans.

The third-place match will be played in Navi Mumbai, preceding the final between Colombia and Spain at the same venue on Sunday.
