Sunderland manager David Moyes has described Super Eagles forward, Victor Anichebe as a young Drogba following his man of the match performance that gave his team their second straight win in the Premier League this season.

The Black Cats were seeking their first victory on home soil against fellow strugglers, Hull City and have the in-form Victor Anichebe to thank for stealing the show by scoring twice after the break for David Moyes rejuvenated side, who remain inside the bottom three but are now two points ahead of Swansea and just two behind third-bottom placed Hull City. It was also a result that took The Black Cats off the basement of the league for the first time this season.

Moyes didnt hesitate to compare Anichebe who just scored his first Premier League double since December 2006, when he played for Moyes Everton against Newcastle to Premier League legend and former Ivory Coast striker, Didier Drogba.

He was like a young Drogba at times, he was that good, hailed Moyes, who snapped up the Nigeria striker on a free in the summer after he was released by West Bromwich Albion.Sunderland next face a daunting trip to league leaders Liverpool.
