Barcelona hopes to activate a new economic lever in the coming days which will provide them with 400 million euros.
Of this, they plan to invest 200 million in the squad.
Barcelona are gradually seeing the light at the end of the tunnel regarding their economic situation. After selling 10% of their TV rights over the next 25 years for 207.5 million euros to "Sixth Street Partners", they are now planning another economic lever.
Their agreement with "Sixth Street Partners" has allowed them to balance their books for the 2021/22 season and therefore comply with Financial Fair Play.
Barcelona are close to closing another TV deal, for another 15%, before they go on tour in the United States for the second half of July.
According to Marca, this deal could give Barcelona a sum of around 400 million euros, a larger sum than what was earned in the first economic lever.
With all of this money earned and after cleaning up the accounts, the Catalan club intends to use half of it, around 200 million euros, to strengthen the squad with players of better quality.
This money will allow Barcelona to sign the striker, Robert Lewandowski, who has been wanting to join the Catalans for weeks now and does not plan on joining up with Bayern Munich’s squad for the start of preseason.
Additionally, there is an agreement that can be reached with Leeds United to get Raphinha. 60 million euros are needed to get the Brazilian attacker.
The team coached by Xavi Hernandez also needs to strengthen their defense. Jules Koundé is the only player that the manager wants to accompany Araujo at CB.
