Chelsea, under the leadership of co-owner Todd Boehly, has suffered a fresh setback in their attempt to sign winger, Noni Madueke PSV.
PSV have reportedly rejected Chelsea’s opening bid for Madueke, just days after the Blues signed Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk.
Metro UK reports that Chelsea have offered £26.6 million for Madueke, but PSV believe the bid is far too low for their player.
PSV have already lost one forward this January transfer window, with Cody Gakpo moving to Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Liverpool for a fee upwards of £35million.
The Dutch club do not want to sell another of their attackers unless it’s for huge money.
Madueke came through the Crystal Palace and Tottenham academies before moving back to PSV in 2019.
The 20-year-old has scored 20 goals and made 14 assists in 80 games so far for PSV.
