Heartland Football Club of Owerri has unveiled 17 new players ahead of the 2023 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.



10 players were also promoted from the youth team to the senior team.

Versatile star, Anthony Okemiiri, who joins from oriental rivals, Abia Warriors and Tunde Franklin from Sunshine Stars, are the two biggest names on the list.

Some of the new players are: Jeremiah Ndukwe, goalkeeper Edwin Nnaemeka, Onyekachi Okafor, Chukwujekwu Onuoha

and Fabian Omaka.

The Naze Millionaires were relegated to the NNL from the Nigeria Premier Football League in the 2021/22 season.

One of the household names on the domestic scene in Nigeria, Heartland, has won the NPFL title five times in the past.
