Bruno Fernandes is being closely monitored by Real Madrid, according to interesting reports from Spain.
The 25-year-old has been one of the players to watch in the Qatar World Cup and was on the scoresheet twice in his latest game against Uruguay.
His superb play for his country has led to Real Madrid reigniting interest in the midfielder, and Record claims scouts have been sent to Qatar to monitor him.
An offer from the Spanish giants is thus on the cards, either in January or at the end of the season.
Real Madrid have a reputation for signing players who shine at World Cups, having secured the services of Mesut Ozil after 2010, James Rodriguez after the 2014 World Cup, and Eden Hazard, who impressed in Russia four years ago.
Prior to Fernandes’ move to Manchester United in 2020, Real Madrid were interested in him.
So far at the World Cup, Fernandes has two goals and two assists.
While no deal is on the table, Fernandes could be tempted away from Old Trafford by the fact that he is almost guaranteed Champions League football at Real Madrid.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side is currently embroiled in an intense title race with Barcelona, who only have a two-point lead at the top of the table.
