In their Premier League match on Thursday, former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch criticized Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga for his part in Fulham's second goal.
On Thursday night, Chelsea had a disastrous evening that resulted in a 2-1 loss and saw their new acquisition Joao Felix receive a red card and a three-match suspension in his debut for the Blues.
The second goal by Fulham was a low point because Kepa was unable to stop Carlo Vinicius's free header after an excellent cross from Andreas Pereira because he was caught in a no-man's-land.
Kepa lingered in between, failing to fully extend himself to grab the ball or stay on his line to stop Vinicius' header, and was quickly overpowered.
“It is a massive error from Kepa." "If he stays on his line, it is a difficult header [for Vinicius], but he’s given him an open goal,” Crouch told BT Sports.
“Even if Kepa makes a decision to come out, you have got to come all the way.”
