The management of Shooting Stars has mourned the demise of a member of the Nigeria Referees Association (NRA), Oyo State Council, Mr.



Rafiu Kazeem Opeyemi.

The deceased, who was the chairman of the Ona Ara Referees Society, died on Saturday evening in a ghastly accident.

He was returning from a fitness test in Abuja in company with four others when the mishap occurred at Osu, Ilesha, Osun State.

“We are deeply saddened by the news of the demise of Rafiu Kazeem Opeyemi, a fine gentleman.
“It is our prayer that God will grant him eternal rest and give his family, friends, and colleagues the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“The club also wishes the trio of Oni Ebenezer Segun, Ajadi Odunayo, and Amos, who sustained injuries in the accident, a quick recovery,” the club said.
