Chelsea have identified a replacement for AC Milan-bound Christian Pulisic.
The Blues are preparing an opening bid for Lyon attacker Rayan Cherki.
Pulisic was among the ten first-team stars that have left the club in a busy summer.
More players are expected to use the widely opened Stamford Bridge exit door, with the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hakim Ziyech, and Callum Hudson-Odoi all on the move.
USA International's Pulisic is closest to the exit door, with AC Milan having made an improved bid worth £19m.
Chelsea have signed Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal and Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig this summer.
They are also confident of landing Moises Caicedo from Brighton, and now ESPN claims they have identified Cherki as the man to bolster their attacking options.
The 19-year-old netted four times and had six assists in Ligue 1 last season.
Cherki is valued at around €40 million (£34 million) by Lyon, and they are prepared to sell.
The Blues are said to be particularly attracted to Cherki’s versatility.
