Two Chelsea players, Ben Chilwell and Axel Disasi, have left the club to join Premier League rivals Crystal Palace and Aston Villa, respectively.

Chilwell joined Palace on loan for the remainder of the season, while Disasi also joined Aston Villa on loan.

This comes as the 2025 winter transfer window shuts down on Monday night.

“Disasi will now spend the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign at Villa Park and we look forward to supporting him during his loan spell. Good luck, Axel,” Chelsea’s statement partly read.

On his part, Chilwell expressed his happiness after joining Palace.

“Crystal Palace is a club that’s going in a great direction,” Chilwell said.

“You look at the last few months, with the results and how the team’s playing, it was a no-brainer to make the decision to come here”

Both Chilwell and Disasi failed to get regular playing time at Chelsea under manager Enzo Maresca so far this season.
