The Barcelona forward, Memphis Depay, has confirmed that he will be staying at the club this season.

Depay revealed this in a tweet posted late on transfer deadline day.

According to him, he is “fully committed” to the LaLiga club, even though he was close to leaving.

“I have decided to stay at Barça!

“Fully committed to contributing to the club’s sporting success,” Depay tweeted.

Depay was set to terminate his contract at the Nou Camp and join Juventus, but the move fell through.

Xavi Hernandez will now be available to Xavi, especially with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang moving to Chelsea.
