Manchester United have made it clear to Cristiano Ronaldo that he is not for sale, the UK Mirror reports.
United were furious about reports that the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, had met with the new Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly, about a potential move.
It is believed Mendes had offered Ronaldo to Bayern Munich earlier this week, with the 37-year-old considering his future at Old Trafford.
But high-level sources at Old Trafford have made it clear that Ronaldo is going nowhere – and that Ten Hag has already included him in his plans for next season.
Cristiano is not for sale. The source said: "We want—and fully expect—him to be with us next season."
United brought Ronaldo back to the club last summer and handed him a two-year contract worth £500,000-a-week.
However, the Red Devils finished sixth, 35 points behind Manchester City.
