Mr.
Macaroni, a popular Nigerian comedian, has raised concerns about threats to his life after opposing the reopening of the Lekki tollgate.
In a tweet, Mr. Macaroni sounded the alarm.
Following the army's onslaught on unarmed #EndSARS demonstrators, the Lekki tollgate was closed in October 2020.
However, the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) has stated that tolling will resume at the gate on April 1 after a 17-month hiatus.
Mr. Macaroni, who was prominent in the #EndSARS movement, had previously spoken out against the reopening, calling it an injustice to victims.
"This is one of many threats I receive on a regular basis," Macaroni said in response to a tweet that threatened him. Nigerian police and the administration of Lagos State, I adore you, and I'm sure you know it.
