Few days ago it was the fire outbreak in the popular ochanja market in Onitsha which destroyed goods worth millions of naira and precious lives were lost too. It was immediately followed by another fire in the omagba region in the same Onitsha the following day.

There is another report now that there was another fire outbreak yesterday in the popular otowodo market in ughelli Delta state. The amount of damages hasn't yet be ascertained but the fire outbreak is believed to have destroyed goods worth millions of naira according to reports.

The market unions are calling on the government to provide adequate fire fighting measures in order to reduce the occurrence of fire incidents in the future.
