The burial arrangements for the late Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Taoreed Lagbaja, have been officially announced.
According to a statement released by Acting COAS, Lieutenant General OO Oluyode, on behalf of the Nigerian Army, Lagbaja’s burial will take place on Friday at the National Cemetery in Abuja.
As reported by Didactic Information Hut, a service of songs for the late COAS, who passed away on November 5 at the age of 56, will be conducted at the Army Headquarters’ Garrison Parade Ground, Mogadishu Cantonment, in Abuja on Thursday. This will be followed by a funeral service at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, on Friday, culminating in his interment at the National Cemetery.
President Bola Tinubu has stated that the late COAS will receive a state burial, underscoring the significance of Lagbaja’s contributions to the nation.
