Fresh from its National Convention convened in Nnewi, Anambra State, the Labour Party (LP) has taken a significant step in shaping its trajectory for the 2027 presidential elections.
A Communiqué released post-convention revealed that the LP has earmarked the presidential ticket for its 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, while extending Governor Otti of Abia State the right of first refusal.
The decision, jointly signed by the re-elected National Chairman of the Labour Party, Comrade Julius Abure, and National Secretary, Umar Faruk Ibrahim, signifies a strategic move aimed at fortifying the party's prospects for the 2027 polls.
