Alhaji Modu, also known as "Bem Bem," was the leader of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist organization and was killed in Borno State alongside 27 other terrorists by members of the Operation Hadin Kai Air Task Force (ATF).

Before he joined the Boko Haram sect, Alhaji Modu was a well-known drug lord and armed robber, according to Naijacrawl.

In the Gwoza Local Government Area of the State, a military airstrike near the Mandara mountains resulted in the deaths of the terrorists' leader and 27 members of his gang.

Military sources confirmed the information and stated that the operation was planned in response to reliable intelligence reports that the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters had gathered in the region in large numbers in preparation for launching a new attack in some areas.

Alhaji Modu reportedly orchestrated the evacuation of Bama town in 2014, killing hundreds of innocent people before establishing a Boko Haram caliphate there.

The now deceased terrorists’ leader, according to reports, was under the supervision of Ali Ngoshe, a top Boko Haram leader, and together they hibernate inside the caves in Mandara mountain from where they coordinate attacks in Nigeria, Cameroon, and the Niger Republic.
