One Gabriel Orupou, 20 has bagged two years jail term with an option of a fine of N100,000 for demolishing a campaign billboard in Plateau state.



Gabriel was found guilty of the offence by the Area Court in Bukuru, in the Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State and he got charged on December 19, 2022.

Niajacral learned that the campaign billboard destroyed by the convict wears on campaign messages of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State.

Gabriel was brought to court for offences bordering on criminal conspiracy and mischief contrary to sections 59 and 313 of the Plateau State Penal Code Law.
