The destruction of Ademola Adeleke's campaign billboards in Osogbo and other parts of Osun State, according to the Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is a savage and dangerous attempt to generate political catastrophe.

The Osun PDP Caretaker Committee Chairman, Akindele Adekunle, cautioned in a statement acquired by Naijacrawl on Thursday that resorting to violence and desperation to block Osun people from making their leadership choice in the next governorship election will backfire.

This, it claimed, was because the people were more than willing to ensure that their right to choose who would handle their affairs was protected.

The party, which announced that it aims to alert the entire world of a covert plan to unleash violence on the state by groups who feel rejected by the overwhelming majority of voters, added that the technique was intended to scare supporters away from voting on July 16.

"One of such plots is the purposeful destruction of Senator Ademola Adeleke's billboards to reverse the increasing acceptance of the PDP candidate in all parts of the state," according to the statement.
Let us emphasize that those behind this conspiracy will be matched, not necessarily with equal amounts of violence but with whatever legal means necessary to reject such attempts to intimidate the good people.
