In a recent incident, 40 Malawian nationals have been detained in Israel after deviating from their designated farm work stations in pursuit of urban job opportunities.



Reports indicate that they left their assigned agricultural duties to seek employment at a bakery located to the east of Tel Aviv.

Responding to the situation, the Malawian government has issued guidance to its citizens, emphasizing the importance of adhering to employment terms and refraining from engaging in unlawful activities. This development follows a labor export agreement between Malawi and Israel, which saw 221 Malawians departing for Israel last year to work as farm laborers.

Meanwhile the Malawian has advised the the workers to return to the farmland and and adhere strictly to the term and agreement of their job,
