The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has announced a reduction in petrol price, bringing it down to ₦860 per litre.

This follows a similar move by Dangote Refinery, which recently lowered its fuel prices from ₦890 to ₦825 per litre.

A Major Relief for Nigerians Amid Rising Fuel Costs

This latest price adjustment is a significant development in Nigeria’s petroleum sector, offering much-needed relief to businesses and households struggling with high fuel costs. The reduction is expected to ease the financial burden on consumers and help stabilize economic activities impacted by expensive petrol prices.

IPMAN Confirms Price Drop

Hammed Fashola, the National Vice President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), confirmed the price cut, describing it as a positive development.

“Yes, NNPC is now selling petrol at ₦860 per litre at its filling stations. While this update is yet to reflect on the official portal, I have been assured that the changes are being processed,” Fashola stated.

As Nigerians await further updates, this reduction signals a potential shift in the country’s fuel pricing landscape, offering hope for more stability in the sector.
