After two weeks of rumors, the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has just announced that the three petitions contesting the declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 presidential election will be decided on Wednesday, September 6.

The Chief Registrar of the Court of Appeal, Umar Mohammed Bangari, confirmed the date to the Daily Post on Monday.

Bangari, whose court is accommodating the Tribunal, said that everything has been put in place to ensure a hitch-free delivery of the judgment in the three petitions.

They are those filed by the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Abubakar Atiku, and his counterpart in the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, as well as those of the Allied Peoples Movement, APC.

Bangari hinted that adequate security has been put in place and that only invited members of political parties and the general public will be allowed into the courtroom to avoid congestion and security breaches.
