A suspect has confessed to the abduction of Folasade Odumosu, wife of retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.
The shocking revelation came during a police parade where the suspect admitted being hired for the crime but declined to reveal the identity of the mastermind.
The kidnapping took place last Thursday at the entrance of the victim’s residence in Arepo, Owode Local Government Area, Ogun State. According to reports, the abductors forcefully dragged Mrs. Odumosu out of her Lexus SUV and transported her through a swampy area to an undisclosed location.
Following an intense police operation, two suspects, Agbojule Smart and Keleke Michael, were apprehended in connection with the crime. Tragically, two other members of the gang were killed during the rescue mission.
The motive behind the abduction remains unclear as investigations are ongoing. The suspect’s confession has heightened concerns about possible involvement of other individuals or groups, leaving citizens questioning the extent of criminal networks operating in the area.
