A suspected thief was savagely thrashed by a furious mob after reportedly stealing a phone from a lady in Bayelsa.
On Monday, June 13, the suspect allegedly stole the phone from the victim's shop in Yenagoa's Opolo neighborhood.
A throng gathered and pursued the culprit after the victim raised an alert. His suspected accomplice, who was waiting in a tricycle, drove away, leaving him vulnerable to the enraged crowd.
According to Kester Wilcox, the mob finally apprehended the culprit in the state capital's Okutukutu neighborhood, snatched him, and beat him to a pulp.
He was robbing with keke, got a woman's phone in her shop, then spotted a throng after him, so the keke driver abandoned him.
