The Supreme Court has reaffirmed the election of Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the Governor of Lagos State.
The lead judgment, delivered by Justice Garba Lawal, dismissed the appeal filed by Mr. Rhodes-Vivour challenging the election results.
Justice Lawal unequivocally stated that the deputy governor, Mr. Sanwo-Olu, was duly qualified to contest the election. The decision by the Supreme Court solidifies the legitimacy of Sanwo-Olu's mandate and brings a conclusive end to the legal challenges surrounding the governorship election in Lagos State.
As the highest court in the land has spoken, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu can now continue to focus on serving the people of Lagos and implementing his agenda for the development and progress of the state. The Supreme Court's ruling serves as a testament to the due process and legal scrutiny inherent in the democratic system.
