A resurfaced video has ignited fresh controversy after Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan accused an unnamed minister of sexually harassing her while she was seeking employment.

The Kogi Central senator revealed that the minister denied her a job simply because he saw her as a "distraction" unless she gave in to his advances.

The footage, seemingly from an old press briefing, captures Akpoti-Uduaghan recalling how the minister openly admitted that he couldn't hire her due to his personal desires. She shared that after working for five years at Brass LNG, she sent out her CVs to several top officials in search of new opportunities. However, one minister’s response left her shocked.

"I remember many years ago, after leaving Brass LNG, I was actively looking for a new job. I sent my CVs to several high-ranking individuals, and one particular minister told me, 'Natasha, I know you’re intelligent and highly resourceful, but unfortunately, I cannot have you in my office because you will be a distraction to me,’" she recounted.
Perplexed by the statement, she asked him to clarify. His response was even more unsettling. "I will not be able to close my eyes for a day without thinking of having you for myself," he allegedly told her.

The video has reignited conversations about workplace harassment and gender-based discrimination, with many calling for accountability and justice.
