Manchester United have officially parted ways with manager Erik ten Hag after two and a half years at the helm.
The Dutchman was notified of the board’s decision on Monday morning, following United’s 2-1 defeat to West Ham at the London Stadium.
The loss left United in a disappointing 14th place in the Premier League, with only three wins from nine matches, and in the lower ranks of the Europa League standings at 21st out of 36 teams.
Ruud van Nistelrooy, who joined United as Ten Hag's assistant last summer, has been appointed interim manager as the club looks to regain momentum.
