Nottingham Forest defender, Ola Aina has been ruled out of Nigeria’s friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique with injury.

Aina was named in the 25-man squad for both games by Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro on Monday.

The defender’s Premier League club, Nottingham Forest, have now confirmed he is currently sidelined with a muscle injury.

The injury forced the 26-year-old to miss the Reds 1-1 home draw against Brentford on Sunday.

The former Chelsea player return date is presently not known.

Aina was named Nottingham Forest’s Player of the Month for August on Tuesday.

The Super Eagles will take on the Greens of Saudi Arabia on Friday, October 13 in Portimao, Portugal.

The encounter against the Mambas of Mozambique is also billed for Portimao three days later.
