Arsenal defender Ben White has spoken for the first time since leaving the England World Cup camp and returning to the United Kingdom.
White abandoned the team in Doha before the round of 16 match against Senegal and has not said a word since then.
He did not play any part in England’s opening two group matches and also missed their last group game against Wales through illness.
While announcing White’s premature departure from the World Cup camp, the Football Association requested privacy while Arsenal said on social media: “We’re all with you, Ben.”
Now the defender is relishing his return to Arsenal, as he posted on social media for the first time since dumping the Three Lions World Cup squad for "personal reasons."
The 25-year-old joined his Gunners teammates in Dubai at the weekend as manager Mikel Arteta prepared his team ahead of the return of the Premier League later this month.
He was pictured in training yesterday ahead of the upcoming friendly against AC Milan.
He has now taken to social media for the first time, writing “We back baby” alongside three pictures of himself training and a smiling emoji.
