Brighton have rejected Arsenal’s fresh £70 million bid for midfielder Moises Caicedo.
The club insists the 21-year-old is not for sale this January.
With the winter transfer window set to close on Tuesday at 11 p.m., the Seagulls are adamant about keeping Caicedo.
If Brighton accepted Arsenal’s latest offer for Caicedo, it would have been a club-record transfer, surpassing the £60 million sale of Marc Cucurella to Chelsea in the summer.
The Gunners also saw their initial £60 million offer for the Ecuador international team rejected.
This led to the player going public on social media to plead with Brighton to allow him to leave the Amex.
Caicedo has been ordered to stay away from training until after Tuesday’s transfer deadline following his Instagram post.
