Chelsea have been told to accept Bayern Munich’s $70 million for Mason Mount and allow the England international to go.
A former Premier League star, Glenn Johnson, believes that the midfielder has not been the same since Thomas Tuchel left the club.
Former Chelsea star Johnson is of the opinion that the midfielder would be a brilliant signing for Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern Munich.
The midfielder was out of favor under sacked manager Graham Potter at Stamford Bridge and is currently in a standoff with the club over a new deal.
The England international will see his contract expire at the end of the 2023/24 season
He has already rejected Chelsea’s last offer, which he deemed too low.
“Mason Mount would be brilliant at Bayern Munich—Chelsea should accept £70 million for him,” Johnson told DAZN.
"I actually think he would be brilliant at Bayern." He hasn’t had that same impact since Tuchel left Chelsea.
“Chelsea should take £70 million because he hasn’t been the same as Mason Mount, and Chelsea may need to take the money after all their signings.”
