Former Chelsea player Glen Johnson has predicted the Premier League title race, which is currently being led by Arsenal and Manchester City.

He believes that the title race will go down to the wire.

Johnson, who played for several Premier League sides including Chelsea and West Ham United, said that both Arsenal and Manchester City will keep digging out results and win as many games as possible.

Manchester City were the better team when the two title contenders met at the Emirates Stadium, beating the Gunners 3-1 and retaking the top spot.

Speaking to Lord Ping, Johnson noted that both sides have shown they are ready to fight for the title till the end of the season.

Johnson said, “I think City will claw [their way] back, but I think Arsenal have been the most impressive team." City are always going to win games even when they are not playing well because of the players they have. But the way Arsenal have actually been dominating games, possession-wise, creating chances, they have been consistent with it.
“So I don’t think they are going to slow down, but I do expect City to get closer. "If they can hold on, it will just come down to those last few weeks.”
